FSS Team Members Present at Alliance 2008 Conference
A total of eight FSS team members were selected to present at the Alliance 2008 conference, which took
place March 10 through 13 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Last Vegas.
The non-profit Higher Education User Group (HEUG) (www.heug.org) organizes the conference each
year for higher education, government, and public sector PeopleSoft and Oracle users. This annual
conference provides an opportunity for these users to share information and experiences with each
other and learn about new PeopleSoft and Oracle products.
For the third consecutive year, Becky Vilsack and Mark Wray served as Track Chair and Assistant Track
Chair, respectively, for the conference’s Training & End User Support track. They reviewed more than 40
proposal submissions, from which they selected 26 presentations and workshops for this year’s
conference.
2008 marked the sixth year that the FSS team was represented at Alliance. Together, eight FSS team
members presented on the following seven topics:
• Developer Training in PeopleSoft and Fusion Web Applications Architecture - TAG Whitepaper
Review - Kristal Jackson
• GL PAG - Birds of a Feather - Varsha Das
• Follow That Req! End-To-End Asset Management in PeopleSoft Financials - Elena Wilson, Dorann Mullins, and Reggie Besana
• Building an eProcurement Workflow Structure - Dorann Mullins
• Financial Reporting: Then and Now - Reggie Besana and Hector Santos
• Rolling the Dice on UPK: What Are the Odds For or Against a UPK Product Advisory Group? - Mark Wray, Becky Vilsack, and Beth Renstrom (Principal Product Manager for Oracle’s User
Productivity Kit)
• Real-Time Combination Edit Messaging Between Financials and Student Financials - Kristal Jackson and Reggie Besana
Congratulations to these FSS team members!
