One
goal for UCF Financials training is to conveniently enable
each University employee to participate in training appropriate
to their roles. To accommodate that need, Financials Support
Services has developed a comprehensive program including
both WebCT courses and instructor-led training classes.
WebCT courses have been available since April 2003 for
a broad group of employees who perform such tasks as viewing
budgets, preparing requisitions, and checking the status
of purchase orders. For those who use the system more
intensively, instructor-led training became available
in May 2003, and several instructor-led classes continue
to be offered on a quarterly basis. For some roles in UCF Financials, WebCT courses
are prerequisites for the instructor-led training. Financials
training is required before a password can be issued for
the system.
Additional course offerings, in both WebCT and instructor-led
varieties, will be developed as necessitated by future
upgrades and additions to the UCF Financials system.
